Yea, something like that.
As I see it they will give you $1500 (600@ $2.50 ea) and then, unless something else happens, that 2.50 will come out of the price just like any other dividend that you receive. It's just that usually the dividend isn't half the price of the stock so you don't notice the drop on the ex-dividend date.
