<..the true power of Socket A AMD Athlon/Duron processors taking advantage of the high memory bandwidth provided by 266 MHz bus speeds and PC1600/PC2100 DDR SDRAM>

Just a dumb question: are there _ANY_ SocketA
Athlon/Duron processors with 133/266 FSB?

Just checking...

Andreas,

<ASUS ® Introduces First DDR Motherboard - ASUS ® A7M266>

Thanks for posting. Finally, some good infrastructure news from the AMD front. AMD is no longer lagging Intel on a mainstream performance platform. Whew!

<The ASUS ® A7M266 will be shipping in quantity in Q4 2000.>

The language is "will be" instead of "is" and 1/3 of Q4 is already over. This kind of indicates at least ASUS may not be ready for prime time until Q1. So, while it is still good news it is not as good as it would have been had this made in time for "real" Q4 volumes.
