The reason that I think it's the modem is because I never had this problem before with my old computer which used the same phone line and I have used different ISP's (3 of them) and it happens with all of them.
Dell will not replace the modem until they have exhausted all trouble shooting. I am at the point now where I am about ready to go out and buy a new modem myself just to see if that's the problem
Seven months of trouble shooting is starting to take it's toll on me.
I would never ever recommend Dell to anyone. Even if the products are good, their customer service is terrible!
