Mao II: Thoughts on ADCT.

I do NOT think the anticipated slowdown in capex spending next year by the large telecoms comes anywhere near explaining the collapse of ADCTs share price. ADCT began falling off a cliff as earlier as July 24th after peaking at $49 after reporting blowout earnings. Its descent started well before there was any hint of a slowdown in capex spending and. I thought it was a steal at $30 and bought some then; when it continued plummeting, I bailed out at $24. As far as the individual investor is concerned, its 60% drop in three months is totally inexplicable.

Granted, ADCT has a very rich valuation at $49 (P/E near 100), but then again, so did a slew of other stocks without the earnings visibility and 3-4 year track record of outstanding execution that ADCT had. I cannot help but suspect that there is something that is being kept from the individual investor that the larger institutional investors know (this is pure, unsubstantiated speculation on my part).
It's earnings report and forward guidance will be most interesting.

P.S. At this time, I am neither long nor short ADCT. I keep wondering at what point in time it becomes a great buying opportunity. However, I will not be the first to jump back onto this train.
