That is a complete falsehood.

You stated in December, 1999 that Willamette design was supposed to be completed in January 2000, but that the design was delayed for at least 6 months from that January 2000 date !!

Cirrus and All, POSSIBLE BLOCKBUSTER...
I received information today concerning Williamette. I can't verify it yet but I'm working on that.
Anyway...this is what I've been told..it goes to the effect that...
The Intel sales force has let it be known that their new chip Willamette will probably not be available until 2001 ! Seems that they were supposed to have finished the design in January -2000 - but now are forecasting another slippage that may last 6 months or more. Seems that they don't think the new design will keep up with where AMD's ATHLON will be in 2000.

Well folks we'll just have to see how this precious little tidbit pans out...kind of makes sense since a 800 MHz Willamena wasn't gonna cut it....
