Coby, I think the doctor was exactly right. There are actual, real bodybuilders who are 100% natural, but they are few and far between and they are not the guys winning big bucks and endorsement contracts/movie/tv deals. Now there is even a drug you can inject into your biceps and make them grow by 2-6 inches in a month or so. They call it "pump and pop." But it doesn't make you any stronger and the odds of cancer or kidney failure are very high. It is hard to believe that an idea that was started to increase physical fitness and longevity has become so unhealthy.

Tsatsouline wrote very much for women who want strength without bulk. The reason so many women use those silly Barbie dumbbells for 50 repititions of small muscles, effectively doing nothing, is because they are afraid that real lifting will make them look like the female bodybuilders, who are built something like the natural male bodybuilders. No <g> on that one.

The one that makes me laugh is growth hormone. Yes, gh increases muscle size. However, it also increases the waistline. I have a major horse whinny every time a top male bodybuilder mentions he has a 28" waist. Maybe in dog inches. <g>
