RE:"McMannis claimed that the Pentium 4 TAPEOUT was going to be DELAYED at least 6 months from Jan 2000."

I don't think I ever used the term "tapeout"...the term was design. Then again I'm not a chip designer.
Then again, maybe the redesign occured months earlier. I don't know.

PS>..Just what did Elmer mean by the P4 being "IN-FAB" befor December 23rd? Do these things tape-out IN FAB? Do they go to "IN FAB" after the tape out?

RE:"McMannis was flat out WRONG!"

Not half a wrong as your August 2000 release date for P4 which got bi$ch slapped all the way to 2001 by Intel...
Not even a little butt slapping for your hopes and dreams...

Aren't you just a little worried that P4 is going to release 10 months after it's first Silicon? Sounds like a rush job. OTOH, seems to me that P4 had to have had a major delay somewhere along the line since it missed your "reliable, LOL" August relase date. About 6 months would do it...
