you must think about pink elephants.
And if you hold my head under water I must grasp for air. Neither of these addresses free will under my definition. Free Will as I use it is synonomous with a future that is not already decided. To a certain extent I would maintain a rock has free-will, even though it has no real will at all, because the future state of that rock has not yet been determined even though there may be some strong possibilities as to what that future will be. In the case of humans our thoughts have some bearing on the future possibilities but are not the final word, nor even the most important determination.
