and the dems have the DLC which controls even the folks with liberal propensities assuming they want to win elections. And deep down Gore is very cautious. Do not confuse what he says to the base to keep them away from nader with what he will do as president. Either way we survive with a slight bias to the left or the right. What concerns me is the SC issue and womens choice in particular. Men dont get how important and basic an issue this is to most women. Most of these women would never have an abortion themselves; they just want to reserve that right in case of a personal emergency whether it be as extreme as rape or as trivial as it will ruin my figure. If men bore children we would want to make this decision too. Sometimes we must just trust the judgement of our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters. In my family this is the one issue that all the women of all generations agree on. Perhaps they know something intuitively that we dont.
