Lets get back to the thread topic. I have two questions:

1) Has there ever been a bubble that did not end bady?

2) What are the best metrics to compare bubble size and how does this one compare. Examples might be percent gain over a short period of time, but the size of a bubble has moe to do with the total asset size. maybe that as a percent of GDP. So given that how does this compare to Japan? or Tuplimania in Holland?

tradermike,
Looks as if sir gold will now leave you be. That is a good thing. Question? What does everybody think about the past few days action? Up nearly 500 points in the Dow. Large difference with the Nasdaq. Seems curious to me. Money chasing quality? Any thoughts? TIA

Trader Mike, a 1000% gain for the year is very believeable!

I had a 1000% gain just from January to Mid March before
the crash and did not take it because I was stupid. That
was a mere 3 months. If one had been smart and had the right
stocks (I was in pennies) they could have cleaned up in
3 months. You appear to have been a smart one and to have
done a better job of selling. Congratulations.

Today I am only up around 250% but still happy.
Them what Ifs have came back to haunt me but hey I did Ok
for a newbie!
