Hard to tell which is the better buy. In the past, MicronPC has had slightly better quality boxes, but the 760 is a new beast an could take a while to become a quality product. Still, I think I would take a chance on the MicronPC offering if I were shopping for a system.

hmaly,

re: < I checked thge Micron site and they could ship within 3 days a system with a 1 ghz athlon and pc1600 ddr ram. I also checked with Gateway and they could ship a 1100 mhz 133 sdram system in 3 days. Both cost about the same. Which is a better buy? Does anybody know? >

Micron 1GHz Athlon? I noticed that Micron 1.2GHz Athlon/PC1600 priced the same as Gateway Select 1100.

To make it easier for the other members in deciding which one is better, I included both Gateway, and Micron system specs below:

Just looking at both system specs, Micron PC (1.2GHz/PC1600) seems like a great deal (except for the small hard drive, which I believe is not a big deal) when compared to Gateway Select 1100 for the same price.
