Frank: We need more gun laws to take cheap Saturday night specials away from hoodlums and criminals. We also have no need for private ownership of hand grenades, bazookas, guns that fire 20 rounds in a matter of a few seconds, etc. There's a difference between punks who rob old women with cheap Saturday night specials and respectable people who own nice guns for deer hunting or shooting skeet or trap. Nobody's talking about taking away those weapons from serious hunters and sportsmen.

Re: church sermons: A couple years ago I gave some sermons in our church, when our pastor was away. I have a solid, loud speaking voice, so the elders asked me to deliver a sermon. I said I would do so, but wasn't going to read a sermon written by the pastor. I preached about societal injustices -- about corporations ripping off the common working man and common working woman. Everyone said "fine sermon" after church. I preached a couple more times. I spoke out for racial harmony. I spoke about malice toward none and charity for all. If I were giving a sermon this weekend, I would urge everyone to vote the straight Democratic ticket. I don't have much use for wishy-washy preachers. My motto is: "Tell it like it is."

It is virtually impossible for a legitimate church to lose its tax exempt status. The only case I can recall if a Hasidic village in NY which attempted to incorporate all of its residential real estate as religious buildings. Nice try!
