Vouchers violate the separation of church and state. Shouldn't use public money to promote a religious agenda, which is what happens when you give a parent $1,000 to remove a kid from public school and send him/her to fundamentalist Christian school or Catholic school or Lutheran school. I think there are a couple test cases on this in the courts right now. Years ago, churches sponsored Saturday school or religious classes for kids after school ... at the church. Why aren't more churches still doing this?
