The 50 ema on those charts are just the default and not purposely placed there by me. I also use the default stochastic at 15-5-5 as well as default MACD 12-25-9 as the most reliable intra day settings along with candles. I dont use the 5o minute line for anything useful. The above two indicators are awesome when viewed on a real time 1 minute tick chart but I often through out the day check both a 5 minute as well as 15 minute time frames using the same indicator set up to get a better feel for extreme tops and bottoms. I hope this helps.
