From $23B to $150B in 2 years? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. On break here at NGN, everything in the last sessions --- including panel with Desh Deshpande, Judy Estrin, and Wm. Norton --- points to the importance of fiber optics and the fact that almost all innovactions in the network will begin here. Asked how long this would last and John McQuillin, moderator, said it isn't likely to change for at least five years. Or as far ahead as anyone can see. Next session is keynote by John Sidgmore.
