imagine, that, mu makes $100s of millions and MUST use it to build new fabs. so much for free cash flow.

mu said they are sold out. why lower prices?

Anyone trading MU out there ?? I'm long now here --very nice block buying last few sessions .
I noticed when MU opens lower it usually closes 2 points even lower with the SOX
I noticed when MU rallys up with only the SOX for news it usually drops 2 points near the close.
Of course news like SDRAM pricing is the best indicator
Any other research out there .

DJBEINO, I think that the slow down in deployment of 12" fabs will be due to lack of 300 mm wafers. I have not read any announcement in the last two years of any of the large wafer suppliers (SEH, Wacker and MEMC) building 300 mm capacity. They have few pullers running here and there, but these are all experimentals. I would guess that it would take $400 MM to $500 MM to bet a capacity of 100,000 wafers/ month (enough for 2.5 40,000 wafer/month super fabs). WFR's balance sheet surely cannot afford this kind of additional debt.
