I'm getting tons of stuck L2 quotes on Boston as well which is annoying. Other than that the new servers seem pretty stable. (I'm holding my breath as I type that ;) )

paulr1: Frankly, my criticism of Quote.Com has been fairly tame compared to most of criticism I have read on this thread lately. Have you been skipping over those posts?

I would suggest, that frustration from your existing customers regarding the amount of time it has taken Quote.Com to come through on its promises to improve the service is more than warranted.

I have noticed my questions as of late go with out reply. Instead you make this public attack on me. Would it not be better for you to double your efforts to come through with the improvements rather than attack your customers?

"Boston" is a different location than "Herndon". Does a completely different geographical location qualify as a New Farm in your book?

Did I miss the announcement of this new farm? I read Quote.Com was moving servers around, but I do not remember reading a "new" farm completion announcement. Please point to the post on this thread or an alert sent out informing your customer base of the new farm and I will be more than happy to apologize.

My understanding is that existing server farms have been being relocated. Are you now saying you have an additional server farm in operation and have now increased the number of operational farms by one?

I have no plans to drop the service. I (as do many) believe that this service once the problems are resolved could be the best offered. However, getting the problems corrected has turned into a long drawn out affair, creating frustration for your longer-term customer base. Surely you understand that, no?

I believe I have said far more good about the service than bad for some time and have refrained from complaining about the service on many occasion while I have patiently awaited the fixes to be put in place...

>you would be aware that the problem is at Comstock's end and not ours - Paul

Paul, I would like to respectively ask the following -

If other programs that have L2 do not have stuck best bid/ask and wrong colors on T&S, WHO ARE THEM USING for their data feed?

Since you have been having so much trouble with comstock for so long, WHY ARE YOU STILL USING THEM?

If others use them and do not have the problems - QC is the only program out of several L2's I have used - what are they doing that QC is not?

What has been going on here just does not make sense to me - if a company is continully over a long time period having the same problem and others are not, WHY DON'T THEY GO FIND OUT WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING THAT THEY ARE NOT?

jb

PS - Is there any way to use QC via sat. download rather than standard internet?

If you had continued reading the posts, you would be aware that the problem is at Comstock's end and not ours

Paul,

I've heard you or others with Quote.com state that has been a problem numerous times. Jebj pointed out that there are other charting services that use the Comstock feed as well. Why is Quote.com always having problems with the Comstock feed and the other charting services using the same Comstock feed are not affected? It would make sense that if the Comstock feed was having problems, then all the charting services using their feed would be affected, however this is not the case. How do you explain this? Furthermore, does Quote.com have any future plans to go with a different feed provider, since Quote.com is always having problems with the Comstock feed?

Thank You,

-Brian-

Paul,

this is not the language, customers should be handled.

I know, that the support always gets the beatings from customers, especially with a realtime quote service, where real money at risk is involved.

I use Ravenquote with qfeed as a more expensive
EOD Service, because I can't trust the data. The trust has to be build up again.

Currently, I have 3 streaming quote services (including qfeed) and one snapshot service (broker based).

Loosing money because of datafeed problems, is one of those
possibilities to blame losses to someone else
and serious traders should be able to avoid this.

regards
Peter
