Alan W: I have been warned by SI Sheriff Jeff not to call Prolife "Getalife" anymore. Nor can I call Maj. kkvkkc1 "MajorDumbo" anymore. Nor can I call j1allen "Allen Wrench" or "Lug-Nut" anymore, because such represents disrespectful, uncivil posting. Since the censors at Silicon Investor have now deemed such free speech off-limits, I am very close to leaving this thread forever -- not because of the morons on the other side of the aisle, but because of censorship from the people who run SI. Only certain types of humor are now acceptable on this board. No doubt the next step will be to ban irony or humorous stories. I believe in America, the common working man, and the freedom to express oneself without fear of retribution. But the rules have now been changed one week before the election. I have never, ever reported anyone on this thread for anything. I didn't even complain when Breeze Box ... er, excuse me ... Mr. Breez ... called my daughter a slut. But now I must post with the realization that only certain forms of humor are now acceptable on this thread. So the bottom line becomes, why post in an arena where free speech doesn't exist? It was fun while it lasted, and I thoroughly enjoyed sparring with all of you, even you, Col. kkvkkc1. I fully expect to be banned by SI administrators for posting this, but so be it. Just leave an empty seat for me at your next reunion banquet and lift your glasses in my direction. I just wished to let you all know what was happening, and that you should expect further abridgements of free speech in the coming days and weeks as more sensitive people complain to the people who run this thread. Over the past few months, I have enjoyed gigging the other side -- and being gigged in return. It was all good sport.
