Lots of right-wingers here were singing the praises of the Zogby poll several weeks ago. Now that you don't like the numbers, you say the poll is "garbage." Can't have it both ways.

I think you and I and Jallen can all agree that the polls are all over the place. Obviously, different polling tactics are producing different results.

So having said that, here's what I'll be specifically looking for on Election Night:

The early results from Kentucky and Indiana, usually the first two states to report, because the polls close at 6 p.m. in those states. If the spread is somewhat close in Indiana, then that could indicate a close race nationwide. I also will take a close look at whether the turnout is heavy or light. If it's heavy, it'll be a plus for the Democrats. Especially take a close look at the 3rd Congressional District race in Louisville. Incumbent GOP Rep. Ann Northup is facing a very strong challenge from a black female Democrat. (Clinton is going to L'ville on Thursday to campaign for the Democrat.) If the Repubs maintain their five Kentucky House seats by, say, 52-48 margins, then it'll be a long night for the Dems. But if the Democrat wins in the 3rd Congressional District, then that could be indicative that more blacks than usual are voting in the election.

North Florida will probably go 61% for Bush.
