Isn't it a little more complex than this? Is the market really monolithic? Isn't there different markets, eg:
o Consumer
o Small Business
o Large Corporations like GE standardizing on Intel
o Notebooks
o Workstations
o Server Markets
o Other products and services

Is AMD really going head to head with Intel? Are they trying to knock Intel off or are they just trying to survive with a niche market?

You sound so authoritative, I just don't know. Do you really have some experience either directly or in a consulting role in developing a strategy to knock off a world class company?
