I was merely saying I don't want candidates who spout religion. Someone else said Mr. Bush was for loosening the strings on fed money- which sounded like they meant they wanted money to go to religious organizations. I was merely responding to that.

I am sure faith based are the most effective. The biggest doper I ever knew went straight to Jesus and became a crusader- it got him off dope, but he became every bit as into Jesus as he'd been into dope. Now you can see that as an improvement if you want, I personally think he was far less annoying on dope. I wish people could rationally get themselves better, if they can't so be it- but it disappoints me.

Aside from the public health issues involving drunk driving, and the cost of alcohol related illnesses, I'd same the same thing about alcoholics. I can't stand people who proselytize. I've never had an alcoholic come to my door and tell me I need to take a drink. However, when I had the flu last week I had a couple of women get me out of bed because they wanted to "discuss" something with me- and it wasn't drugs or alcohol. They are lucky I didn't sneeze on them.

Me, I don't drink or do any drugs. So I'm not an apologist for the drug community.

The Ben-Wa approach to substance abuse is to put ricin in crack cocaine, opium-based drugs of abuse, and speed.
