I like big government. For the most part I like what government does. Wow.. you make some compelling arguments, especially from the female side. Let me see if I can translate that into the male perspective. I don't want out of the Balkans. I want women to go and fight all of my wars for me so I can stay home watching football and drinking beer with my buddies. Especially, if I'm married, I want my wife over there living in a miserable tent city going on ceaseless patrols and playing military policeman. The longer she's gone, the more fun I can have. I want abortion to be paid for by the government for anyone who wants one and can't afford one.... etc. Wow.. another neat idea... as a man, I would love to put the cost of terminating a pregnancy upon my fellow taxpayers. And I want government to take care of any illegitimate kids I father and don't want. Furthermore, I want the same right to force the termination of a pregnancy that women claim for themselves. After all, why should I have to pay 18 years worth of child support for one night of temporary carnal bliss. If the women wants to keep the kid, make her pay for it. I want no organized prayer in school, and no evolution either- although I have absolutely no problem with comparative religion. I don't want any rules in school... If I want to play hookie, I should be able to. If I don't want to take Algebra, I should be able to substitute female anatomy as an alternative. Heck, I should be able to decide what I want to learn.. After all, it's my life. And that science stuff, forget about it.. I think I should be able to take 8 hours of PE, weight training, advanced sports strategy instead. After all, as a boy most of us dream about being big football and basketball stars. Just look at all the money they make. And I want all my supreme court judges to pass a litmus test of having previously received a DUI, or reckless driving offense, or getting a girl knocked up. After all, why should I expect anyone who hasn't "lived a little" to fairly enforce laws that affect almost every man out there. And I'm against women almost always winding up with 1/2 our net worth, or receiving years of alimony payments. Especially if she never held a job during our marriage, or is currently dating someone else after our separation. Screw 'em... if they don't want to be married to us, don't let the door slap 'em on the butt on their way out. I am against free trade- because it's only free on our side. I'm against trading anything.. I think things should be given to me solely because of my right to exist as a man. I should be able to take what I want because that's the way it works in nature. I am pro-union and very pro-environment. I want to be able to work where and when I want. If I want to move to another part of the company, I don't want some union official telling me that I can't. As for the environment, I'm really big on being able to cull the herds of over populated deer running amuck around here. If I see a deer while I'm driving and I can take the shot without endangering anyone else, I should be able to. After all, they're going to starve come winter anyway because they have no natural predators any longer. Yeah... maybe you're right... if I get the right guy in office to manipulate social policy the way I want to be, BIG GOVERNMENT COULD BE COOL!!! Maybe I can get government to give me a nice grant so that I can conduct online research here on SI. What could be better?!!

We are all African or Asian Americans if you are willing to go back in time long enough. The labels politicians use are created with divisiveness in mind. The only white people I know would be albinos. I have never seen a truly black person in my life. Yellow? I have never seen a yellow person either. Isn't it too much of a coincidence that somebody way back chose the descriptors white and black, when skin tones are pretty much beige and brown & everything in-between?
