Yep, I'm serious.

I tend to focus on the actual company press release rather than the spin, whenever possible.

From NT:

"--Outlook for 2000 and 2001 Remains Unchanged
--Provides specific Guidance on the Fourth Quarter and First Quarter of 2001."

nortelnetworks.com

Actually, the revenue guidance for 4Q is a little bit better than the average analyst estimate, but well within the range. Net income is right on previous guidance.

bambs, How would you interpret this excerpt from ML today? I think the analyst is hinting he might lower his price target.

Other info:

A year ago, the analyst had a $42.50 price target and F01E of $0.65

Currently, the analyst has a $90 price target and F01E of $0.75

Excerpt:

"However, as long as capex growth remains an issue, we would expect Cisco’s lofty valuation to be a concern. While we currently would not expect Cisco’s P/E multiple to expand, its stock price appreciation should be driven by earnings growth, which we forecast should still grow by over 40% in fiscal 2001."
