Bob,

However, as long as capex growth remains an issue, we would expect Cisco’s lofty valuation to be a concern.

This is common wisdom among analysts which are beating down the sector.. (Gee, I wonder why they would want to do such a thing. Do you think it's because they have your best interest in mind?) Problem is every indication we see from vendors and from their customers says capex isn't slowing.

Plus a few others I've posted over the past couple of days. What I've been seeing is analysts saying there's a capex slowdown.. and vendors saying "really?". In addition there was an aritcle (I think today) stating that every year carriers state that they're going to spend less and then by the end of the year - lo and behold - they spend the same or more. Why? Because they are in competition for customers... which means delivering more services... which means adding more capacity...

Who do you believe - the analysts - who want to buy low and sell high... who are telling you things are slowing down.. or the vendors who have a legal duty not to mislead their stockholders or possibly face lawsuits?
