Hi Trio,

You and several others here have pointed out circumstances where the G* service would be useful. I notice, however, that none of you say that you actually own a satellite phone. That seems to be the problem.
Everyone can agree upon applications where this service may prove useful, just not enough to part the greenbacks required to actually go ahead with a purchase.

Trio: I live in Montana and have to travel around the state quite frequently. My cell phone service sucks and is non-existent outside the "cities". I just got a G* phone through Verizon. Basically I bought the phone because I was traveling between Bozeman and Helena last month when I hit a deer and damaged my car quite extensively. Of course I had no cellular service so I was stuck until someone came by. Hopefully with the G* phone that won't happen again. There is a need for the service, especially out here in the west where cellular coverage is limited and things can get real bad when traveling, especially in winter. Hopefully G* survives.
