JDSU was one of the few high tech luminaries that had an overall positive money flow despite price drop. The money flow for SDLI was also positive.

Sam,

Fund Managers are not paid to be right or wrong. They are paid to make money. If they are wrong about the future of optical, but correct to exit because the momentum leaves, then they make money by not being in the stocks (or they lose less than those that stayed fully invested).

In the end, if they are wrong and have to chase it back up, that's good for the ones that believed and held. It's also OK for the fund manager in a sense because, although he makes less, he hasn't gone negative for the stock or fund, which is the kiss of death for ANY MUTUAL fund.
