Windsock, >AMD (nyse: AMD), has changed its plans to deliver its server/workstation oriented Athlon chip codenamed "Mustang." Instead, the booming CPU maker will allegedly be accelerating the launch of its 64-bit line of CPUs known as "Hammer."

GREAT business plan -- GREAT EXECUTION !!

I'm confused. Are they saying they are going to kill a promising 32 bit chip that might be able to compete in the red, white and blue hot small server market, and concentrate on a chip that can't supposedly be ready until late 2001? Resource limitation problems?
