Beauty is transitory. Intelligence and wit isn't. Being considered good looking is a double edged sword. To have people responding to you solely to how you look often leads to disappointment on THEIR part because they respond to your appearance and not to who you are. Eventually they have to resolve the dissonance. So, if you need help with a flat tire, it definitely helps to be good looking. If you need a kidney, hmmm, you'd better have something else going for you other than your looks.

Very Interesting! I guess we are a shallow society! Look at any magazine at the check-out. Beauty, sex, and happiness: The package...the ONLY package. It doesn't matter what the magazine is about. It still has the beautiful picture and the caption: "What does He REALLY want? TEN WAYS to Turn him into a sex slave in YOUR bedroom!!"
