Is ZDTV available where you live? On Screen Savers and Marks other show they have featured Linux several times. Here's the Linux part of their website if you've never heard of them. techtv.com

What I was wanting to do was to use my oldest computer as a server with linux installed on it and then my other 2 could be used at the same time. I don't have the knowledge to even know where to start, maybe I will pay someone to do it someday.
