Hi Bud, I've been reading along on the MDD thread. One thing you might have noticed is that David Dreman's book "Psychology and the Stock Market" is sub-titled "Investment Strategy Beyond Random Walk."

There are markets that defy logic. We've seen it this year. This sort of market always seems to bring out random walk as a theory again. It may be that the markets are ruled by something more than just fundamentals, waves, technical indicators, etc, but it might also finally be concluded that the rules of the market are more like light theory - where some particle and some wave theory combine to provide the best explanation.

I continue to be amazed at how well Mr. Dreman defined the various phases of the market and how its participants react. We AIM users are truly contrary. And yet, deep in our guts, we still notice the bile building when the BEAR's on the loose and the butterflies when the Bull's storming up the Street.

Best regards, Tom
