But there is a huge difference between a busboy or a construction worker and a vice president of the united states or a cabinet secretary. They need to maintain public trust, and they have sworn to uphold the constitution

Joe,

I think you are making the assumption that Gore knew....my boss one time was having an affair for a year and I didn't know...and I was fairly close to him. You talk as if Gore was in the Oval Office handing over the cigar.

Assuming he was not in there (and I don't think he was), all he could have heard at best were rumors and innuendos....and frankly I ignore that stuff when it comes to the work place. Once Lewinsky came forward it was a fait accompli and then legal apparatus took over.

And the truth is is that Clinton's biggest crime was his disception to his wife and Lewinsky....and its sad because he has a problem. This wasn't just about infidelity...that's what Camp David's for...this is about a guy who has some serious emotional problems. And he embarrassed himself, his family and his administration....and he will be forever tainted by it.

I think your concern vis-a-vis Gore is misfounded.
