Govt regulating the Internet? Govt CREATED the Internet (and the Constitution, btw). The best web sites *I run into are made by Govt employees. They're consistantly better designed, more accessable with more useful content than ...the 'Republican' web sites. --- I don't like Gore. His idealism though, is FAR more contemporary than what Dubya has borrowed and most importantly, he scares me a lot less. -JCJ

Regulation has its problems, but deregulation has its own set of problems. As they say the cure may be worse than the disease.

Gore has proposed tax cuts (regardless of whether they're the ones _you_ want, I'm pretty keen on college tuition relief); capital gains taxes are already zero for as long as you don't sell (and not all that much more than sales tax -- at least in Texas, where we have high sales taxes, thanks, George -- when you do sell); interest rates will skyrocket if a big, inflationary tax cut is enacted; and energy prices in real dollars are historically low (as well as compared to the rest of the world).

"Social conservatives" (a.k.a. the religious right) will get their pound of flesh if GWB is elected, especially if he also has a Republican Congress.

All JMHO.
