my anecdotal evidence is that if you approach people with mutual respect, there is no chip on their shoulder. maybe 1/100 is so upset that they can't control themselves and you avoid them EXCELLENT POST SKEETER!!!!! And had I been you, I would have marched myself down to a top notch civil rights attorney and filed a multi-million dollar civil suit against your boss and the corporation. That is just BS that because you had developed a condition that was causing you pain, and you boss deliberately set you up to be fired. You had an AWESOME CASE Skeeter... Far better than many other alleged abuses I see corporations being sued over. Again... thanks for sharing your story!! Btw, slave is derived from the word "Slav", as in Slavic. It seems that Slavs were heavily enslaved hundreds of years ago by neighboring countries and the word carried down through the centuries. What it shows is that the history of mankind is cruel. It is STILL CRUEL, although becoming lesser so each and every year that we see democratic values and respect for the inalienable rights of individuals advanced around the world. And while we at it, if the radicalized demagogues like Jackson, Sharpton, and Farakhan, who purport to represent the views of black Americans wish to continue blaming the white man for slavery, they might also think about including those Muslim slave traders WHO ALSO participated in the sale and trafficking of African slaves.
