I'll bet Intel did help someone optimize their MP3 code for P4, but isn't that what one would expect? I would.

I'll bet AMD benchmarks the Pentium 4 MP3 encoding with interpreted MS Basic - Version 1.0

How valid would that be?

Better yet - how relevant would that be?

When SludgeScummer comes out with SSE2 - will you be crying for the "AMD bitches" to benchmark it WITHOUT SSE2 instructions - or will you just be your smug hypocritical self and blow it off like a complete jack ass?
