Frank: In response to your diatribe: I watched all the talk jocks tonight ... Matthews, O'Reilly ... sounds to me as if this revelation caught everyone by surprise ... Democrats, too. Hell, Frank, even GWB's paid flak, Ari Fleischer, said the first he knew about GWB's DUI conviction was when he heard it tonight. The story was dug up by an enterprising news reporter in Maine. Apparently James Carville didn't have anything to do with this. At first I thought this was indeed an example of dirty politics, but now I believe that it was just a case of the press doing its job. Chris Matthews said it best tonight: No reason for Bush not to have come clean on this a year ago.
