Bush was trying to keep it a secret, he lied when asked if he were ever arrested... well, guess what... Dick Cheney was also arrested for the same charge, DUI, not once but twice..... I guess they're birds of the same feather.....

Joseph, you're the first person I've ever encountered whose attempted to make a drunk driving incident resulting in a license revocation as a character reference. You do realize what you're doing, don't you?

There is no character in Bushing using kids as an excuse not to inform the American public he'd been arrested back in the mid-70's. How old are Bush's children? Don't ya think they're old enough they could have handled the story?

Come on, Joseph, get off your high horse!

Excellent points. Bush has character and accepts responsibility. This isn't that big a deal, and I trust Americans to understand that, despite the media and liberal crowing this morning.

Draw the parallels to Clinton, who would be wagging his finger at the cameras, saying, "I did not have sex with that woman...,"; or to Gore, who would be saying, over and over again, "There is no controlling legal authority..."
