By golly I guess it does make a difference what we say and the words we use. Thanks for reminding me. Now that that is settled, I will not bore you with what "is" is. I will however set you straight on what being arrested means. To be arrested is to be handcuffed, taken into custody, booked (fingerprinted and photographed) then possibly placed in a holding cell while awaiting to be arraigned before a magistrate, judge or justice of the peace as the case may be. Being issued an appearance ticket is not being arrested. If you have ever received a ticket for a moving traffic violation, ie; speeding, you were not arrested and that is the same thing as an appearance ticket. To curb any cute come back, the answer is no, I have never been arrested. I find it a lot easier to discuss things when people understand what they are talking about.
