I think a lot more McCain voters are going to Buchanan
than people expect.

ROFLMAO!!!

I apologize Harvey... but that's pretty funny.

And somehow I kinda doubt it... :0)

McCain is also not a popular Senator. He may be Mr. Straight Talk express, but the Senate is a "good 'ol boy" club with strict decorum that McCain has often broken.

Now don't get me wrong here.. remember I voted for him, but don't even begin to fool yourself that he would have been leading by 11%. He would have been "beating Gore like a drum" and such negative campaigning would hardly have been conducive to winning many swing votes.

And McCain would have a harder time bringing both Republicans and Democrats together... He's a divider, not a uniter...

Give Bush a landslide victory, and the Senate to boot, and democrats will be quite unwilling to go against what would be a mandate by the people.

A whole lot more would get done that way. Besides, most of the programs that Bush is proposing were modeled after bi-partisan efforts over the past several years. He won't rock the boat too much, except where required to restructure and save vital programs.

Regards,

Ron
