I guess the only good side to all those books and articles referenced, is that the educated community is out there shining a bit of light. Someone should start a thread on this...

I've been looking over this thread this morning, and I have become angry with myself. I am angry because I have been soft and kind, and I have ignored irrational people and irrational thought. I have walked around wearing kid gloves so that nobody would be offended. I redact all of it. If anyone can read the infanticide and the killing of innocents (for the guilt of others), in the bible...and not puke...to hell with you. If your God is a bastard...to hell with you. If your God is a war monger...to hell with you. If your God is a pervert...to hell with you. If your God loves slavery...to hell with you. If your God is a racist...to hell with you. If your God is a liar and a hypocrite...to hell with you. If your God is a human construct, whose only goal is to be Mr. Big( but too weak to do it on His own, but requires whores like David to pass people through the ovens alive...to hell with you). You have no entitlement to compassion and love and respect--you who are miring the human race in the mud of despair and hate. I have become tired of watching idiots kill one another because they read in some bloody manuscript dug out of the ground ten centuries ago that they were a superior race or people...by virtue of believing in a moral code of psychosis. I am become tired of enduring the insanity of people that cannot read some primitive manuscripts from the desert with a clear eye and a good heart, and recognize it for what it is. I an become tired of people that believe magicians in Egypt could make water turn into blood. I am weary of defending idiocy with compromise, and cruelty with sleep. I am simply tired of the stupidity. Compromise is a wonderful short term goal. It is a wonderful personal ethic of safety. But supporting lies has cost the lives of millions of people throughout history. I am not prepared to be a pragmatic opportunist anymore. Chosen People religion has murdered and tortured millions of people. These are historical facts. Anyone that can proselytize and kill on the basis of some filthy fool's papyrus dug up from the clay is living on another plane and has nothing to offer the human race. There have been thousands of manuscripts dug out of the ground from our primitive past. Some of them were good literature--some were not. I have read pretty much all there is to read of historical merit. And I say this: The insane manuscripts that the church decided to keep as the base of their power, is unequalled in all literature for its cruelty, immorality, and pornography. It is a filthy book. God makes them eat their own dung. Then he relents and makes them eat only cow dung. IDIOTS. Is this your vision of human progress and advancement? To hell with every one of you that supports slavery, infanticide, murder of innocents, killing of women for no offense. To hell with your prayers; To hell with your stakes and faggots. Truly you are sublime idiots. I will be criticized and chastized for this post. And I will be cursed. But I have said what is true and right. I have stopped kneeling before those that (by their support), will be the cause of millions more deaths of innocent children...as the future unfolds. Hate me with all the passion you can muster. I lived a moral life, and I always stood behind good people and human loves. There are intellectual and scientific problems in the world. There are subtleties in philosophy; There are sincere differences of opinion in science. But the contradictions of the bible are not worthy of a grade 2 classroom. What is the matter with humankind, that we take a grade 1 approach to existence and meaning ...in the year 2000. For educated people to even to discuss these filthy manuscripts in a serious way is disgusting. We should all be ashamed. There is ALMOST NOTHING in the bible of decency or morality. There is a little bit of good in the New Testament. I can pick up a copy of Marcus Aurelius and find far greater knowledge--far more meaningful love. WHY DO YOU EMBRACE A BOOK THAT IS BOTH CRUEL AND INSANE????????? Who was that pope that died with 20 million dollars and left it all to his family--not the church. There was a whore I can both despise and respect. "Onward Christian lovers, marching onto war..."
