Well, at least you got your order in before the line got any longer. Since it has become clear that DDR is the direction the industry is moving in for the next few years, it has become "the system" for high end users that upgrade every 6 months or so. Anything else you could have bought near term would have to be junked in about 6 months. The AMD 760 based system you ordered will serve you well through at least one processor upgrade - and will remain state of the art.

Contrast that with the experience that will face anyone foolish enough to buy one of the near term P4 systems. The socket is being changed in less than 6 months and the whole system will have to be junked when the "real" P4 motherboards come out next spring using DDR instead of Rambus.

Congratulations, Paul, on your purchase of a DDR Athlon system from Micron!
