When you say that the press did not adequately cover Clinton's "draft dodging" then either you a)never read a newspaper or watch TV news, or b)have a very short memory. I mean, that was one of the KEY issues of the campaign. You gotta be kidding. Or kidding yourself.

Help me here:
1) What was the last name of the President who promised: "Read my lips, no new taxes" and then raised taxes?
2) Ever hear of "like father, like son?"
3) Does it bother you that Bush stated that Social Security is not a Federal program? Of course not, you people feel real, real comfortable with mediocrity.

Friday morning, Hughes found herself deflecting
a barrage of questions from reporters, who
questioned if Bush had told the truth when asked
about his arrest record by a Dallas Morning News
reporter after his 1998 re-election to the Texas
governor's mansion.

That 1998
exchange,
documented
in a
September
profile of
Hughes in
The New
Republic,
ended
quickly
with Bush
saying he
hadn't been
arrested for
anything
after 1968, the year he was said to have been
hauled in for a college fraternity prank.

You may not like Clinton, but you'd like a Gore presidency a lot less, Mike. If Clinton's economic policy was "Why worry, be happy." Gore's policy won't be "I'm from the govmnt and I'm here to help." No, his policy will be, "I've got a plan and here's what you can do to help me."

I don't think he can get any of his environmental craziness throught the legislature, but he will cause a lot of problems given his zeal ...
