Alastair, thanks. I do think flash will be back in the spotlight in a flash.

I bought GSPN at 72 1/2 yesterday for a short term trade. On Thursday, DJ reported that ERICY signed a deal with GSPN (see story below), but neither ERICY nor GSPN has officially put out a PR. The IR lady at GSPN didn't know why either. In her normal duty, she edits and distributes PRs to newswires after getting them from the CFO. Turns out the CFO was out but will be back on Monday. If GSPN releases the news, stock may be good for a 10-15pts run in a good market. I'll try to follow up on Monday.

Also, if CSCO turns in a good report on Monday (and I expect so), GSPN will run in sympathy. CSCO is GSPN's largest customer, almost half of total sales.

Since I probably can't keep a close watch on the market next week, I'll enter GTC sell orders at 82 and 90.

Regards,

Tom

DJ Ericsson Signs SHDSL Pact With GlobeSpan, Netopia

02 Nov 10:38

STOCKHOLM (Dow Jones)--Sweden's Telefon AB LM Ericsson (ERICY) said Thursday
it has signed a partnership agreement with GlobeSpan Inc. (GSPN) and Netopia
Inc. (NTPA) for the development of new SHDSL equipment.

Terms of Ericsson's deal with the U.S.-based companies weren't disclosed.

Ericsson did indicate the agreement is geared towards the development of a
new leading edge Symmetric High bit rate DSL, or SHDSL, solution which provides
symmetrical data transport over copper networks.

Ericsson will offer end-to-end solutions using GlobeSpan's programmable Orion
DSL chipset and Netopia's SHDSL router and Integrated Access Device equipment.

SHDSL is a global standard for symmetic DSL, which will support integrated
data and voice services.
