Regarding Jurgis: He, I, and others have benefited from my buy and sell target prices. Obviously, I used information to arrive at them. What he is correctly stating, now, is that semi-equip investing is at a difficult juncture and poring over volumes of information does not mitigate the risk. I have repeatedly stated that the peak of the business cycle will be 2002, but that investing in the stock is risky. My basic disagreement with you is my perception of your failure to distinguish between the semi-equip's business and stock prices. I have no interest in "slamming contrarian views" because they are "contrarian". In fact, rather than slam, I have at times almost begged Brian K. to be more careful, avoid margin, etc. I "slam" (I don't believe my disagreement is disagreeable enough to be so labeled) poor logic, poor knowledge, or anything where, as I stated, credibility does not match conviction. Of course, from your point of view, what makes me such an arbiter? Nothing. My logic and my knowledge must be demonstrated in each post and anyone is free to disagree with me or correct me. Your statement about the relationship of my political credibility and my semi-equip credibility is misplaced. My political posts reflect a database compiled over a lifetime and very strong emotional content. My semi-equip posts reflect a careful, conservative, humble investment style and a commitment to post reasoned, accurate, and polite opinions. I tried to be polite in my responses to you, but I understand that I might not have succeeded in making this your perception when others seemingly didn't try. Cary
