I'm not sure that I understand how you see this as a centralized federation model. They own the object and have exclusive rights to it, and all the extended information that they have about you. You, as the card holder, have nothing today.

As one of the original architects of the original digitalMe, I am more than familiar with what digitalMe is, and can be. ;-)

And if you use a product like AtGuard you would be very aware of what occurs when you start to trade files on Napster. You'd see immediate port scans and other attempts to compromise your system ... ;-)

(Yes, I know because I have sat next to people *doing* the port scans and looking at peoples machines ... it's what we do some weekend nights for fun ... ;-)
