That's pretty much what I expected." Let's see if I have this right... A DUI conviction in 1976 and a two year driving suspension.... two years in the easy time of 1976? Then the guy goes back to Midland and gets a new license so he can drive for 10 more years still heavily boozing after being humiliated in Bushport. It takes him ten years to learn his lesson so he says and your side thinks this "helps" him even after he covered it up. I saw a Jeb Bush interview by Hume on Fox yesterday. Jeb says he did not know about his brother's arrest until it was revealed. Hume found this hard to believe since this must have gotten just a little press within the family itself. Jeb says something like ... well George was quite a rambunctious youngster during those days.... Hume then asked Jeb if he was saying that this was just one little thing lost in many so called rambunctious incidents during George's "youth". Jeb stammered, probably surprised that old family friend, Hume, had pressed him on Fox, and mumbled some excuse. As my side would expect, Hume dropped the line of questioning. I will say again; your guy is a lush, draft dodger, failed oil exec who sucked public funds to make a killing off a second rate baseball team and who as governor put young drug offenders in prison while I have no doubt he did the same stuff during his "youth". I won't even get into the accusations of his insider trading gains from his oil days, his seeming delight in his record of killing over 140 of his state's citizens as the governor, the big funds the tobacco (drug?) industry is throwing at him and the glee that gun nuts have at having their man in the White House. I also will not get into his support of blowing billions on building this country's version of a 21st century Maginot Line and his plan to return to Voodoo economics. I will just wonder why a covered up DUI conviction helps him in the minds of your side?? Regards, Don
