Can't speak for California but IMHO Clinton's greatest achievement was the first Republican congress in 70 years.

If you think that Republicanism is only about white and Christian, you are dreaming. It is about being free and keeping the government as small as possible. But, keep deluding yourself your cliches and cartoonlike view of politics.

Dizzy, California lifestyle is the laughingstock of the country. Although you are correct in that the high tech industry is based there, I foresee that changing in the next decade if the democrats continue to overtax the industries. Other states will give the corporations big tax breaks to lure them away. Many of them are already branching out to Texas, Florida, and North Carolina. And although your state offices are dominated by democrats, your US Reps are about evenly divided, maybe a 2 or 3 person advantage for the dems.knc
