No, X...We'd better all hope that .....

there will be NO recession, NOR market crash. One of the great things about Internet, is now there is nearly instant 'recollection' of past opinions and articles on many matters. If there is a Republican win, they most definitely wouldn't be the cause of such a problem. All we would have to do is go back through editorials, articles and SI boards to see exactly the problems of the last few years.

Although, since a recession, and possible market crash, is coming, perhaps I should hope the republicans win, so
they get blamed for it. It's so HARD to know what to wish for!

I voted early this morning--and skipped right over the choice for President. My vote, or non-vote, doesn't really matter as the Presidential race in my state is no contest. Just couldn't bring myself to choose any of candidates so I just voted in the Congressional races and a couple of local matters. I tried to pick one of the Presidential candidates. I really did. But there were just so many negatives all around that I couldn't bring myself to endorse any of them. I'm glad, though, that you're happy with your choice.

X: Maybe we are both pessimists but I also see the winner as a one term resident either way. Hard to duplicate the last 6 years anyway you slice it. Kind of reminds me of placing a bet against your home team when you think they might lose. If you lose the money you can take solace in the surprise.

, since a recession, and possible market crash, is coming

Since you voted for Gore, that seems to be a self fulfilling prophesy.
