*OT* One scary thought if Bush does pull this out. If the Kondrapov ( spelling?) cycle proves true and we do have a market crash in the next 3-4 years with the first Republican House, Senate and Presidency since 1956, they may get the full blame and Democrats would rule for the next 20 years.

In my opinion and many others, we are walking a tight rope on how to maintain the bubble without popping it. I would hate to see the Republicans get blamed for a bubble Billy built and finally bursting on their watch.

IMO the main difference in parties is Republicans build foundations and building blocks that take a long time for the benefits to be seen but are safer and better long term. The Democrats go for the quick fix and don't think about the long term effects. i.e. People poor= Republican = build infra structure, create jobs, trickle down economics etc. Democrats = tax the haves and spend the money on welfare programs. Short term Dems look great, but create never ending cycle. Repubs make them self sufficient.

When this is applied to the market, the Repubs let industry keep more profits and grow larger creating more jobs, increase earnings etc. and stock price grows due to higher earnings. Dems pump liquidity to get stocks up but only thing that grows is PE ratios. Eventually they have to contract since there is no new error, oops era. <g>

Unfortunately, 90% of America doesn't realize how thin the ice we are skating on really is and who ever is in the hot seat when this thing blows will catch all the blame.

Just one idiots view. BWDIK

Good Luck,

Lee
