RE:"Any local insight as to what's going to happen in Florida, outside of what the media is saying?"

This Palm Beach county ballot thing will be be addressed on the radio, I will report to you. In true liberal fashion I expect whining and lawsuits.
Fact is, the voter shouldn't have left the precinct before know just whom they voted for...

Tony,

re: "Any local insight as to what's going to happen in Florida, outside of what the media is saying?"

Not so far. I'll put on a local station and see if they have a different perspective.

I guess Gore is sending down a team of lawyers to look into the irregularities (CNN). I hope this doesn't get too far out of hand, they could nitpick voter fraud/mistakes forever. And the market doesn't seem to be comfortable with the uncertainty.

I always assumed a close election was a good thing. I guess not.

John

Tony, RE: Any local insight as to what's going to happen in Florida, outside of what the media is saying?

Here's a link to the controversial Palm Beach County ballot:

sun-sentinel.com

Buchanan got 3,407 votes there, about quadruple his 'normal' share in Florida. A large number of people are claiming to have wanted to vote for Gore but voted for Buchanan instead.

If you cut back the Buchanan vote in Palm Beach County to the greatest total share in any other Florida county and give those votes to Gore, Gore carries Florida and wins the election.

Wow.
