How can you assume those Buchannen votes would have gone to Gore? Last election the Republican candidate was second on the left hand page of the ballot. If we assume that the votes for Buchannen were wrong (a big assumption I believe) then maybe they were intended to be voted for Bush. You can't just assume that a valid vote is wrong. With their record for veracity, why believe the Democrat's scenario?

RE:"Buchanan got 3,407 votes there, about quadruple his 'normal' share in Florida. A large number of people are claiming to have wanted to vote for Gore but voted for Buchanan instead."

The liberal talk shows are all other this...
They want a re-vote in Palm Beach county.
Well OF COURSE THEY DO...Gee whiz...

OTOH, The sample ballot was mailed to every registered voter, put in the paper one month prior and was on the wall at the polls...and people could ask for another ballot if they wanted if they thought they voted wrong.

I think after the absentees are counted Bush will win by more than the number of complaining votes, except "everyone" is complaining now and PB county was 60% Gore...and that makes me sick but that's another story.
